Practical Martial Art Program Slows Aging Process

Developed and introduced by Master Ryan P. Blanchard the Kajun Martial Arts curriculum consists of Choi Kwang Do, Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Aikido, Jujitsu, and Hapkido. In addition to these martial arts styles Master Blanchard has incorporated teaching methods from leading teachers and motivational speakers such as Tony Robbins to make the learning process fun as well as educational.

Through my training at KMA, I have lost 93lbs.  I am more flexible and have more stamina. Don't ever think you are to old to start getting in shape.  It is never to late.  It will also help you spiritually and mentally.  Thanks to the friendly staff at KMA, when I walked in the door it felt like home and I knew this was where I am gong to get my black belt!      Thanks for everything!

I was really looking for something my son and I could do together that was fun and rewarding.  I found that and so much more at KMA. It's been a great bonding experience that's both fun and healthy. We've both gained a great deal of confidence and strength since we've joined. Just wish we had the time to go every day instead of just 2-3 days a week.

Kajun Martial Arts's training methods and concepts are unique in the fitness industry. At KMA personal development, rather than sports competition, is paramount. Living in today's world is highly stressful because society is plagued with a fear of personal violence amplified in the media. Too often the available alternatives to stress and peer pressure are negative coping mechanisms such as drug use and drink. Combined, these factors decrease the ability to learn, be creative, and reach our full potential as a human being. Enrolling in a program such as the ones at KMA counters stress and violence. Regardless of age, participants immediately discover that Choi Kwang Do movements profoundly improve health and stress management.

The CKD system is designed for prevention and healing of adult disease also known as modern disease. These degenerative diseases include diabetes, heart and circulatory
problems, arthritis, osteoporosis, and obesity. The Choi Kwang Do system of training solves the root causes of these medical conditions. Exercise is known as the most important element for preventative health. However, often times exercise is practiced incorrectly, which actually leads to poorer health. The CKD system applies modern science and technology to promote optimum health and fitness as well as longevity. The CKD integrated movement prevents deterioration of brain cells and allows for cognitive thinking and memory to improve.

Tired, feeling old? This is actually a thinking process accepted in our modern society. If you are physically fit, you will automatically feel mentally fit too! Because of regular CKD training,KMA's Head Instructor Mr. John Gibbs feels stronger now (at age 66) than when he was in his twenties or thirties!

As a self defense system, Choi Kwang Do also utilizes practical movements and equipment training to enhance inner confidence and peace of mind. All this is taught in a non-competitive environment by instructors who care about their students.

Kajun Martial Arts teaches students to reduce the effects of stress. Strategies found only at KMA include learning to use more exercise, particularly integrated movement requiring balance and coordination that assists nervous system development and function. Physical movement from earliest infancy through adulthood plays a vital role in the creation of nerve cell networks that are actually the essence of learning.

Choi Kwang Do is a highly refined and scientific martial arts form, distinctively different from all classical martial arts in concept and movement. It should not be put into the same category with many of hundreds of substyles of existing martial arts systems.

I was looking for something to do to get in shape.  Most of the options available: fitness centers, lifting weights, running, etc., didn't have the staying power to keep me involved for the months it takes to actually get into good physical shape.  I joined KMA and found something that challenges my mind and body and keeps me interested and motivated.  KMA is fun and the side effect is good physical fitness, improved focus, improved patience, and way more energy than I've ever had.

KMA has allowed me to realize that I am out of balance most of the time!
Through Choi Kwang Do and other lessons Master Ryan has taught me, I
know am able to not only recognize when I am not centered, but I now know
what to do to get back to center quickly. These skills are  important for me to
be able to live a fulfilled life of abundance and contribution. I have also
increased my flexibility and stamina along with my overall health and fitness. I
would not trade my time each week at KMA for anything else in the world and
it has become a priority in my life and a must for me each week!
